Onlinephotostories -- Frequently Asked Questions (and their answers!)
- Q: How much flexibility do I have with how I set up my storyboard pages? Can I, for instance, put just ten images up instead of 20? Can I add more later or swap some out?
- A: A storyboard page entitles you to up to 20 rotating images on your page. If you only have 15 to put up now, you can add the other 5 later. If you want to exchange an image for one already there, you can do so for only $10/image, including a new caption.
- Q: In what format do you want images?
- A: We prefer images to be sRGB, 72ppi, jpegs. Images are either 500 pixels long (horizontals) or 386 pixels high
(verticals). We add a white canvas to each image to make it 500 x 386 pixels.
- Q: Can I add audio to my story?
- A: Absolutely. We have the ability to add a 60 second MP3 file. Request the directions and we'll tell you how to.
- Q: How is onlinephotostories related to Loupe Media?
- A: Onlinephotostories is a division of Loupe Media. Loupe Media also provides other
services for the trade, including photo editing, graphic design, text editing, newsletter and other publications.
Loupe Media produced a print magazine entitled, The Loupe, which premiered in July 2005. Onlinephotostories
replaces the print edition of The Loupe.
- Q: What is the difference between a Killer Shot and a Storyboard ad?
- A: A Killer Shot ad entitles you to one captioned image that appears on a page with other rotating killer
shots by other photographers. A storyboard ad gives you your own page and a listing in the Table of Contents.
- Q: What are your demographics?
- A: For each 6-month time period, we send out thousands of postcards announcing the site to picture buyers in the U.S. and then have
several emailings to photo buyers both domestically and internationally.
- Q: How much assistance will you be able to provide?
- A: We will do what you need, including choosing images from your site, working with you on the topic for a story, and helping you
write the text - it's all part of the service!
